Eugenia Moras, Get Talking Spanish founder and Spanish teacher

Hola! I am Eugenia, the face behind Get Talking Spanish. Originally from Spain, I moved to Scotland in 2013 after falling in love with the country during a holiday. Little did I know I'd still be here now!

I am a qualified Primary Teacher with full GTCS registration and, for nearly a decade now, I have been teaching languages to both adults and children internationally. I have taught in Spain, Hong Kong, the UK and also online.

I am a firm believer in the importance of speaking more than one language as this has allowed me to travel the world and has opened so many doors for me both professionally and personally, and I love to help others learn.

My mission at Get Talking Spanish is to offer practical Spanish courses that get you talking from day one and to promote early exposure to foreign languages in a fun and engaging way.

I look after our Portobello group classes for children, teach Spanish in nurseries, and also do all our adult group and 1:1 classes.

WHAT OUR STUDENTS SAY

Claire G, Portobello

Bespoke 1:1 lessons

I have been learning Spanish with Eugenia for just a couple of months. In those few sessions, she helped me focus on what I needed to learn for my family holiday to Mallorca. Eugenia is very calm and helps you when you struggle to find the words! In Spain I felt confident to order food, book restaurants and even organise a birthday dinner and cake for my daughter. I will definitely continue learning Spanish with Eugenia as she is and excellent teacher.

Murray R, Portobello

Practical Spanish for Travel

Eugenia is a natural teacher. It was clear that she had made a lot of effort to prepare for each lesson, using a variety of materials. The focus was on the Spanish we are likely to use if we travel. She also asked if there was anything we wanted to learn and created lessons based upon our suggestions. The lessons were fun and interactive with a focus on talking and listening to each other rather than formal learning. It was a safe place to give it a go and make mistakes

Ella B, Portobello

Practical Spanish for Travel

I found this Spanish course to be very useful, covering everyday situations. I feel it has given me so much more confidence to speak Spanish when on holiday and would definitely recommend it!

Amy, Hong Kong

Spanish for Children (online)

My two girls have been learning Spanish with Eugenia for years and it's incredible how much progress they have made! They love singing in Spanish at home and always look forward to their lessons with Eugenia.

Mark D, Portobello

Intensive Pre-holiday Refresher

The Pre-holiday refresher course was perfect for someone who had learned the basics but not spoken Spanish for a while. The course was well thought out with useful tips and guides but the best thing was just being able to have a chat in Spanish! Highly recommended and I would be happy to book further classes/refresher courses

Sive M

Spanish for Children 2-5

Zoe C

Spanish for Children 2-5 and 1:1

Highly recommend Cristina as a Spanish teacher for young learners! My four-year-old daughter absolutely loves her one on one lessons and Spanish Play Groups. Cristina's engaging teaching style and patience make learning fun and effective.

My daughter has shown remarkable progress in her language skills.

Grateful for her dedication and passion for teaching.

¡Gracias, Cristina!

Beata Z

Spanish for Children 2-5

My daughter attends classes with Eugenia and we love it. Eugenia puts a lot of effort into the activities for children. This is by far the best Spanish class for children we attended in Edinburgh.

Louise M

Spanish for Children 2-5

The Spanish classes are so much fun. My 3 year old has grown in confidence speaking in Spanish in such a short time. Fun songs, activities and stories all appropriate for their age. Parents get to enjoy a coffee and get to learn along with the children. We love a Saturday morning!

Wonderful Spanish classes for toddlers. Eugenia is a lot of fun and our 2 year old loves it. Would highly recommend.
