At Get Talking Spanish we offer fun and interactive play-based Spanish sessions for children in different areas of Edinburgh, both one-to-one and in small groups. The sessions for the youngest children include singing, interactive games and activities and storytelling. Older kids learn Spanish through games, practical activities and outings.
When children are consistently exposed to a new language, they soak up the vocabulary and structures and learn it just like they learnt their mother tongue.

1:1 Spanish lessons for children under 5
Tailor-made to suit your child's interests and delivered in the comfort of your own home by one of our expert Spanish tutors.
Play-based Spanish sessions which include music, interactive play and storytelling. Children's interests are taken into account and planning is made responsively to ensure children stay engaged and motivated.
The goal is to promote early exposure to Spanish in a fun way and help the children learn as much vocabulary as possible as well as understanding and being able to communicate using simple structures.
Children must be accompanied by an adult (parent/carer).

Tailor-made to suit your child's interests and delivered online or in the comfort of your own home by one of our expert Spanish tutors.
Our 1:1 Spanish lessons for children 5-12 provide the perfect platform for language discovery with our native expert tutors, specially tailored to your child's unique learning style and interests and in the convenience of your own home.
We offer classes for children with or without previous knowledge of Spanish, so whether your little one is just starting out with the language or wants to enhance their existing skills, we've got you covered!
We know every kid is unique, and that's why we're all about customising lessons to fit your child's interests and learning style. We incorporate their favourite activities into our sessions to ensure they have fun while learning and we achieve our ultimate goal: to instil a lifelong love for language learning.

About our teachers
Meet Eugenia
Hola! I'm Eugenia, Get Talking Spanish's founder and Spanish teacher.
​
I am a qualified Primary Teacher with full GTCS registration and nearly a decade of experience teaching languages to both children and adults. I also hold a full PVG.
​
Before deciding to start my own venture at Get Talking Spanish, I worked as an Early Years Teacher in one of the best nurseries in Edinburgh for three and a half years. I have also taught children in Hong Kong and Spain as well as online.
​
I believe one of the most important subjects we should encourage our children to learn are languages, and as a mum of a bilingual child myself, I love to help other kids learn too.
​
Being able to speak more than one language has been, without a doubt, what has opened the most doors for me both personally and professionally throughout my life, and I wouldn't change it for anything.
​
I currently look after our Portobello classes for children, teach Spanish in nurseries, and also offer 1:1 Spanish lessons for children and adults in Edinburgh northeast and online.

Meet Cristina
Cristina was born in Santander - North Spain - but has been living and working in Edinburgh for nearly seven years.
​
Cristina holds a double Bachelor's Degree in Early Years and Primary Teaching and has more than seven years of experience working with children of different ages. She also holds a full PVG.
​
Her favourite thing about working with children is the feeling of being constantly surrounded by love and smiley faces that literally make her day!
​
Cristina loves travelling and discovering new cities and countries, and this is why she believe speaking foreign languages is so important. She also enjoys listening to music, watching Netflix, and having a healthy lifestyle - walking lots and going to the gym when free.
​
Cristina currently delivers 1:1 and small group online lessons for children and adults.

Meet Laura
Originally from sunny Gran Canaria, Laura has been living in Scotland for over three years now.
Laura knew she wanted to become a teacher since she was child, as she absolutely loves working with children and watching them learn and develop.
Laura holds a BA in Early Years Education and a Masters in Psychopedagogy. She is also a qualified Montessori assistant and has over six years of international teaching experience. Laura has taught children in Spain, Morocco, Chile and the UK.
Laura loves travelling and getting to know different cultures, that's why she believes that giving children the opportunity to speak another language opens the doors to a bigger world and to fulfilling many dreams.

Laura currently delivers some of group classes for primary school children and offers bespoke 1:1 Spanish lessons, both online and in person, including Nat5 prep classes.
