Are the classes in-person or online?

Children group classes are in person, either at St Marks (Portobello) or Life Care Centre (Stockbridge). 1:1 children's classes are held either at the student's or teacher's place. Online classes are available for children aged 6 and above.

Adult evening courses are held in person at Bellfield, Portobello.

One-to-one adult classes can be either in person - at a cafe/suitable venue - or online depending on what suits you best.

Do I need to have any previous knowledge of Spanish to join the group classes?

No, you don't! For our Practical Spanish for Travel courses for beginners you don't need to have any previous knowledge of Spanish and they are recommended for those who know nothing or very little. If you're looking to book 1:1 lessons or an Intensive Pre-holiday Refresher, we will assess your level before you start. If you are unsure about your level and would like to find out whether our courses are right for you, simply book a free 15-min call so we can assess your level and help you decide.

Children don't need to have any previous knowledge of Spanish before joining our classes.

What is your cancellation policy?

If you are going to miss a session, please let us know as soon as you can.

1:1 sessions (for both adults and children) can be rescheduled at no extra cost if 24h notice is given. If you are attending a Practical Spanish for Travel course and you miss a group class, you have a 30-min online catch-up session included in the price of your course and you can book further sessions for £15 subject to availability.

Children's group classes cannot be cancelled once the block has started, and we are also unable to reschedule them.

Are all learning materials included?

All materials needed for the lessons will be provided and are included in the price of your course or 1:1 sessions. You do have the option to purchase a textbook to support you if you wish to do some self-study at home but this is totally optional.
